What is 3D printing?

3D printing is a process where an object is created layer by layer using melted filament. This means each item is individually printed rather than mass-produced in a factory.

Because of this process, you may notice small layer lines or minor variations between prints. These are a normal part of 3D printing and make each piece unique.

 

What material are your products made from?

Most 3D Haven products are printed using PLA filament.

PLA is a plant-based plastic made from renewable resources such as corn starch and sugarcane. It is one of the most commonly used materials in 3D printing and is chosen for its durability, versatility, and lower environmental impact compared to many traditional petroleum-based plastics.

While PLA is considered more environmentally friendly than many other plastics, it should still be disposed of responsibly and is not designed to break down under normal household conditions.

PLA allows us to create colourful, detailed, and durable products while making a more sustainable choice where possible.

 

Are your products suitable for children?

Many of our products are enjoyed by children; however, some items contain small parts and may present a choking hazard.

Unless otherwise stated, our products are recommended for children aged 3 years and over. Adult supervision is recommended for younger children.

 

How do I clean my 3D Haven products?

Most products can be cleaned by wiping them with a soft damp cloth and allowing them to air dry.

Do not place products in the dishwasher, washing machine, or hot water, as high temperatures may cause warping or damage.

Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning products, as these may affect the finish of the item.

 

What are clickers and fidgets?

Clickers and fidgets are designed to provide sensory input and keep busy hands occupied. Many people find them enjoyable to use while concentrating, studying, working, relaxing, or simply for fun.

 

Why does my item look slightly different from the photos?

Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings and the filament used. Due to the nature of 3D printing, every item is produced individually and may have small variations that make it unique.

 

Can I choose my colour?

Some products are available in multiple colours, while others are offered in selected colour combinations.

If colour options are available, they will be listed on the product page. If you're looking for a specific colour, feel free to contact us before ordering and we'll let you know what's possible.

 

How long will my order take?

Orders are typically dispatched within 5 business days.

Made-to-order products may take up to 10 business days to be dispatched depending on current demand.

 

How much is shipping?

Shipping is a flat rate of $8 throughout New Zealand.

Orders over $99 qualify for free shipping.

 

Do you offer local pickup?

At this stage, we do not offer local pickup through our website.

If you are local to Dunedin and would like to discuss collection options, please get in touch before placing your order.

 

Are your products licensed?

Yes. Where required, products are printed under the appropriate commercial licence agreements from the original designers.

 

Can I request a custom order?
